The CENEGEX DCx13-3 is an ATEX certified digital camera for still image and movie capture in Zone 2 gas and Zone 22 dust hazardous areas. It is designed for industrial users who need a portable camera for controlled photographic documentation in classified environments.
Within Able’s hazardous-area camera range, the DCx13-3 is best suited to users who need a controlled-data camera workflow rather than a smartphone-style inspection device or an optical zoom / macro camera. Its role is focused on restricted-site image capture, wired USB transfer and controlled handling of inspection records.
The camera includes a 13MP sensor with motorised focus, 64GB onboard memory, digital zoom, movie capture and a close-up flash feature for low-light image capture. A 4.6″ touchscreen and traditional push-button controls support operation in harsh conditions, including image capture when gloves are required.
The defining feature of the DCx13-3 is its intrinsically secure wired USB datalink, which is used for charging, image download and data transfer. This makes it particularly relevant where WiFi or Bluetooth workflows are not appropriate, such as security-conscious industrial sites or facilities with strict data-transfer rules.
