The Dwyer Series 4B is a 1/4 DIN temperature and process controller for enclosed-panel installations. Its universal input accepts common thermocouples, Pt100 or JPt100 RTDs and voltage or current process signals, allowing the same platform to control temperature or a compatible transmitter signal.
Control can be configured for on/off, PID, manual or programmed ramp/soak operation. Up to 64 ramp/soak actions support staged setpoint profiles, while heating and cooling can be assigned across the two outputs when the selected model and control mode permit.
Model choice defines output 1 and supply voltage. Current catalogue models provide voltage pulse, relay, 4-20 mA or 0-10 V as output 1, with a relay as output 2. Standard models use 100-240 VAC, while -LV models use 24 VDC.
Dual four-digit LED displays show process value and setpoint simultaneously. RS-485 Modbus ASCII/RTU is standard, supporting integration with compatible supervisory or automation systems.
The Series 4B suits ovens, boilers, chillers, environmental chambers, hot plates, melt pots, packaging equipment and food-service machinery. Correct selection depends on sensor or process input, control mode, output type and load, supply voltage, panel dimensions and any required accessories.
