Dwyer Series 2-5000 Minihelic II Differential Pressure Gauge
Compact mechanical indication of low differential pressure for air and compatible non-corrosive gases where panel space is limited.
Key highlights
- No external power: Mechanical local indication without an electrical supply
- Compact dial: 2-1/16 in face for space-constrained panels and equipment
- Multiple range units: in w.c., mm w.c., Pa, kPa and psid models available
- Total pressure rating: 30 psig continuous and 50 psig surge
- Flexible installation: Surface or panel mounting, with portable and stand options available separately
The Dwyer Series 2-5000 Minihelic II is a compact mechanical gauge for local indication of pressure difference in air and compatible non-corrosive gas applications. It requires no external power and provides indication only; it does not provide switching, control or a transmitted output.
Its 2-1/16 in dial and compact housing suit equipment panels and installations where a larger gauge would use unnecessary space. The glass-filled nylon housing and polycarbonate lens provide a lightweight construction, while a diaphragm blow-out membrane accommodates over-pressure events within the stated pressure limits.
Typical uses include filter-status indication, duct-pressure monitoring and positive room-pressure sensing, together with cabinet air purging, electronic cooling systems, air samplers, laminar-flow hoods, fume-hood face-velocity indication and medical respiratory equipment.
The family covers multiple ranges in inches water column, millimetres water column, pascals, kilopascals and psid. Standard models use barbed connections for 3/16 in ID tubing; 1/8 in male NPT and bottom-barb configurations are available as ordering options where applicable.
Surface and panel mounting are supported with the supplied hardware, and portable or stand-hang arrangements can be added using Series 2-5000 accessories. The gauge is factory zeroed with the diaphragm vertical; models below 5 in w.c. equivalent should be used vertically unless a special calibration for another orientation was specified.
To select the correct model, confirm the required range and engineering unit, process connection and mounting arrangement, together with any calibration-certificate requirement, before ordering. Wetted-material compatibility should be checked with DwyerOmega where the gas service is compatibility-critical.
Key Features
- Mechanical local indication: Displays positive, negative or differential pressure according to the pressure-port arrangement, without electrical power
- Compact serviceable construction: Removable lens provides access to the zero adjustment, while the removable rear housing supports servicing
- Pressure protection: Diaphragm assembly incorporates a blow-out membrane for over-pressure accommodation within the rated limits
- Supplied mounting hardware: Studs, nuts and a panel bracket support standard surface or panel installation
- Connection selection: Standard 3/16 in ID tubing barbs can be specified with optional 1/8 in male NPT or bottom-barb arrangements where available
- Installation zero adjustment: Supplied Allen key provides access to the zero adjustment after the gauge is installed in its final orientation
- Calibration and identification options: Factory calibration, NIST-traceable certification and an aluminium tag can be specified at order stage
