Dwyer Series 2000 Magnehelic Differential Pressure Gauge
Provides clear local indication of low differential pressure for air and compatible non-combustible gases in HVAC, filter monitoring and cleanroom applications.
Key highlights
- No external power: Standard mechanical models require no electrical supply
- Flexible measurement: Positive, negative and differential pressure configurations available
- Large dial: 101.6 mm (4 in) face for clear visual checks
- IP67 protection: Weatherproof enclosure protects against dust and water ingress
- Series options: High accuracy, local LED indication and higher total pressure ratings
The Dwyer Series 2000 Magnehelic is a mechanical low differential pressure gauge for local indication of positive, negative or differential pressure in air and compatible non-combustible gases. Its diaphragm and frictionless magnetic movement convert small pressure changes into pointer movement without conventional mechanical linkages.
It gives operators an immediate visual reading for air filter monitoring, blower vacuum, fan pressure, HVAC duct pressure and pressure relationships between rooms or cleanrooms. Air velocity scales are also available for use with a suitable Dwyer pitot tube.
A broad choice of pressure ranges, engineering units and scale formats allows the gauge to be matched to the application. Configurations include positive, negative, off-zero and zero-centre scales, together with dual-unit and air velocity formats.
The Series 2000 family includes options for higher accuracy, local LED setpoint indication and increased total pressure ratings. The -HA, -SP, -MP and -HP options cover these requirements. The -SP provides local visual indication only and does not provide relay contacts.
To select the correct model, confirm the operating differential range and maximum total pressure on either side of the diaphragm. The gas, ambient temperature, mounting arrangement and any calibration certificate requirement should also be established before specification.
Key Features
- Frictionless magnetic movement: Jewelled bearings and magnetic coupling provide quick response while helping resist shock and vibration
- Accessible zero adjustment: Allows the gauge to be zeroed without removing the cover
- Broad scale choice: Multiple engineering units, zero positions, dual scales and air velocity formats help match the application
- High Accuracy option: The -HA option improves accuracy to ±1% of full scale on applicable ranges and includes a mirrored scale overlay and six-point calibration certificate
- Local setpoint indication: The -SP option provides a bright red LED indication at an adjustable setpoint from a 12 to 24 VDC supply, without relay contacts
- Higher total pressure options: -MP and -HP construction increases the total pressure rating to 35 and 80 psig respectively
- Flexible pressure connections: Duplicate high and low pressure ports at the side and rear support different tubing routes
- Mounting choice: Surface and flush mounting can be supplemented with pipe, portable and air filter monitoring accessories
Specifications
| Measurement and Performance | |
| Service | Air and compatible non-combustible gases. A natural gas option is available. Hydrogen service requires a Buna-N diaphragm and pressures below 35 psi. Consult DwyerOmega for wetted materials and media compatibility. |
| Pressure indication | Positive, negative (vacuum) or differential pressure. |
| Scale selection | Model-dependent ranges are available in multiple units, including in w.c., Pa, kPa, mm water, cm water and psi, with off-zero, zero-centre, dual-unit, air velocity and flow scales available on selected models. |
| Standard accuracy | ±2% of full scale at 21.1°C. Accuracy is ±3% on -0, -100PA, -125PA and -10MM ranges, and ±4% on -00, -60PA and -6MM ranges. |
| -HA accuracy | ±1% of full scale at 21.1°C on applicable ranges. Accuracy is ±1.5% on -0, -100PA, -125PA and -10MM ranges, and ±2% on -00, -60PA and -6MM ranges. |
| Total pressure limits | Standard: -20 in Hg to 15 psig (-0.677 to 1.034 bar). -MP: 35 psig (2.41 bar). -HP: 80 psig (5.52 bar). |
| Construction and Environment | |
| Enclosure rating | IP67. |
