The Pepperl+Fuchs SM-Ex S203 SR is a dedicated scanner accessory for the Smart-Ex 203 DZ2 smartphone. Connected through the device’s accessory interface, it provides an integrated method of capturing 1D and 2D barcodes without relying on a separate handheld scanner.
The module is intended for users who need barcode scanning as part of a wider Smart-Ex 203 mobile workflow. By combining the smartphone and scanner in a single device arrangement, information can be captured and handled through the same mobile platform.
Its Zebra SE4107 scan engine supports selected linear, stacked and matrix code formats, including Code 39, Code 128, PDF417, Data Matrix, UPC-A and QR codes. A white illumination field and green LED aiming spot assist the user in locating and capturing the required code.
The SM-Ex S203 SR is supplied as a scanner module only, with the Smart-Ex 203 required separately. The certification markings shown by Pepperl+Fuchs apply only when the module is used in combination with the compatible smartphone.
